What the law says
You must verify age BEFORE the sale is completed.
Verification of age must not take place after the purchase, for example between purchase and shipment or delivery of the item.
The limits are in 2024:
- Alcohol with more than 1.2 percent and up to 16.5 percent: Over 16 years old
- Alcohol with more than 16.5 percent: Over 18 years old
- E-cigarettes: Over 18 years old
- Nicotine products: Over 18 years old
- Tobacco products: Over 18 years old
